Even the back orders were messed up.
"My first order had a tube of paint backordered, so I contacted customer service to cancel that item. Thinking customer service would follow through I made a second order for paint in a different brand but the same color. Of the three tubes, one was Backordered. I contacted customer service again to swap out for a completely different color. THEY FAILED AGAIN. I was sent TWO INSTEAD OF ONE AND CHARGED FOR THEY MISTAKE AND THEY STILL SENT THE TUBE I SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO BE CANCELED AND CHARGED ME FOR IT. I don’t have the patience to return anything now, AFTER 3 TRIES CONTACTING CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE SERVICE IS WORTHLESS."

"I was a bit uncertain regarding the various types of paper that I was ordering, thus I telephoned in. I had used some cold press papers prior, however, I had never used hot pressed paper. While speaking with him, I asked about the possibilities of some paper samples. He sent me some samples of cold press paper as well as their counterpart in hot pressed papers. It was wonderful to see them side by side. I can see the substantial difference and now have a much better understanding regarding the variances. I appreciate the assistance I was given and am thrilled with the samples. I have since received my order (huge for me) and everything arrived timely and in excellent condition. I can't say enough good about Dick Blick and their wonderful service. "

"I used to live by a Blick store.... LOVED IT. Then I moved to the country and have to order everything on line. I am disappointed in how they shipped my order of several polychromos pencils in a manila envelope. I would suggest they train their people who ship pencils, to wrap them in bubble wrap and put them in a box. I love that they sell individual pencils, but hesitate to buy again due to the way they were shipped.They would rate a 5 start if I were just grading the store itself."

"I was missing an item from one of my orders. I called customer service to explain, and was told they were out of the item, but as soon as it was in stock, it would be sent to me. I received the item about two weeks later. I initially thought I would probably have to call again and remind them, but item was delivered as promised without my having to remind anyone!!!"
