Great Customer Service
"First time contacting customer service because the business I bought a GroupOn for was temporarily closed (for 8 months). Received a standard email at first, received a response from a rep. within 24hrs. They investigated the situation same day, found that the business was indeed closed and wrote that a refund will be processed within 10 business days. Then I received an email from Paypal stating that the refund processed. I use GroupOn to save money whenever possible but knowing that they offer such great customer service if I ever run into an problem again is good peace of mind."
Did not resolve my issue
"The Groupon I purchased for jc pennies wasn’t working in store, so they just used it as cash value. So now I paid more than full price for my one photo and Groupon is refusing to refund. They’re saying it’s JC Penny’s responsibility. "

Kind of a Hassle
"Bought cleaning service thru Groupon Tucson. When making appt., found they were in Phoenix, 150 miles away and do not service this area. Quite difficult getting refund. Was not expecting Tucson listing to be based in Phoenix!"
"Received a gift card and when I try to use it says invalid number. Contacted customer support and sent picture of card front and back. Got email saying the issue had been resolved. The money has not been posted to my account and the card number still does not work"
"Below is the latest email I sent to Groupon to get my refund. They emailed me Mar 27 2018 and said they refunded us. Only they only refunded me. Now it's April 24th and my husband is still trying to get his refund. We bought the China trip vouchers on Living Social because I had a $50 credit there. So now they refunded me again and took off my Living Social deal that I used the $50 on and he has paid for two trips and they stole my $50 credit on top of it. He are now paying interest on the two deals that he bought because Groupon can't seem to do anything right anymore. Online ordering gone haywire
"Do not use Groupon. I ordered a soundbar that was a manufacturer refurbished special and Groupon lost the shipment and never delivered it to Fedex. After 14 days, it was not resolved and they had to give me a refund. They didn't even offer to make it right and send me a new one. Their customer service is horrible. It is live chat or email only and no matter what you do or who you talk to, their customer service reps can't do anything about anything and have to "escalate your issue to another department". What's the point in customer service then? At that point just call them the issue forwarding department. That's all they do. And then nothing gets done anyways. "

Groupon's poor customer service and anti-consumer policies
"I purchased a Groupon to have a craftsman install a ceiling fan. He made an appointment and didn't show. After several more iterations including having Groupon contact the craftsman (at least they said they did) with no results, I asked to cancel my purchase and get a refund. Groupon said I could only get another Groupon, no refunds. Well, I didn't see any other Groupon offers I wanted, but they insisted that was the only option. Thus, I ended up getting something I didn't really want so that I didn't lose the money. I am unlikely to use Groupon again any time soon."
Refused to help me
"After my Groupon was mistakenly marked redeemed, they refused to help me. The establishment that we purchased this from was closed for the season so it wasn’t like i was trying to scam them. I’m done with Groupon, terrible customer service... now i have to dispute with my credit card company. "
